At Hollins Grundy children participate in a variety of different sporting activities both competitive and non-competitive.

The government is providing additional funding for academic years 2013 to 2014 and 2014 to 2015 to improve provision of physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools.

The funding must be used to fund improvements to the provision of PE and sport for all pupils. This is aimed at increasing participation in physical activity and encouraging pupils to develop healthy lifestyles.

In addition to our PE curriculum and after school sports clubs we have:
• Employed specialist qualified coaches to work alongside our teachers in lessons to increase their subject knowledge and teaching skills in PE lessons.
