April 2021 – Easter holidays and contact tracing
Back to article list

1st April 2021

The Department for Education has once again asked that schools continue contact tracing after the end of term. To help us do this could I please ask parents to email hollinsgrundy@bury.gov.uk if your child receives a positive test result between the 1st and 5th April, but only if their symptoms developed within 48 hours of being in school.

This means that if symptoms develop between 3.30pm on Thursday 1st April and 3.30pm on Saturday 3rd April, and your child receives a positive test result, then parents should email school. If symptoms develop after 3.30pm on Saturday 3rd April (even if they result in a positive test result) school should not be contacted.

If we receive any notifications of positive test results and your child is a close contact then you will be informed by text and a letter sent by email informing you of isolation requirements.

If your child receives a positive test result that will prevent them returning to school on Monday 19th April 2021 due to isolation requirements please email hollinsgrundy@bury.gov.uk by the 18th April 2021.

If you are travelling abroad over the holidays to a country that will require your child to quarantine on their return please let us know also.

Thank you
