September 2020 – 04 – First week back
Back to article list

14th September 2020

We’ve had a really successful first week back to school. It’s been fantastic to see children back in school and enthusiastic about seeing their friends and teachers again. Our Covid procedures in school are working smoothly and everyone is adapting well to them.

As you will be aware the situation outside school is still very fragile, with infections rising across Greater Manchester. Can I urge everyone to stay vigilant and to observe social distancing outside school at drop off and pick-up times please.

We now have an additional symptom which applies to the list of potential Covid-19 symptoms which is ‘gastro-intestinal problems.’ Consequently, any children with diarrhoea or vomiting will be asked to have a Covid test with a negative result before returning to school. The other symptoms still apply i.e. high temperature, cough or loss of smell or taste.

Many thanks
