Greetings parents, friends and families of Hollins Grundy!

First of all, let us say a huge thank you for your continued support, involvement and contributions over the past year. We have worked hard to raise funds, create fun events for families and children alike. Whilst most of our events are geared towards the children and families, we do have some adult-only nighttime events. Adults-only events may not be for everyone, but they have proven to be among our best-attended and highest-earning—suggesting they’re clearly doing something right! Our next adult event is our Deal or No Deal night on Friday 30^th January. We also have a range of other events planned throughout the year, and we look forward to welcoming you to as many of them as possible. Your involvement and encouragement make a real difference, and we truly appreciate your ongoing support of our school community. Our next family event is Quiz Night on Friday 27^th February, which promises to be a fun and exciting evening for everyone to enjoy together. All the money we raise gets spent on the children at Hollins Grundy, for example, paying the coach fare for trips and visits which helps to keep rising costs down.

These own clothes days help us to gather essential items for our events. Please note that whilst all requested contributions are suggested/voluntary, we do rely on your support to make these events successful. Please note that we will adhere to these dates as closely as possible, but there may be unexpected changes throughout the school year that may be outside of our control. We will inform you of any changes as soon as possible.

• Friday 13^th March (please bring chocolate eggs for the chocolate bingo event)
• Friday 15^th May (please send a bottle of wine into school for the Summer Fayre)
• Friday 12^th June (please bring in a chocolate bar for the Summer Fayre)

Organising events for both children and adults takes a significant amount of planning, coordination, and time, all of which is carried out on a voluntary basis and largely outside of normal working hours. Everyone involved gives their time freely and without payment because they care about creating enjoyable, inclusive events for our community. While we always welcome feedback, ideas, and suggestions, we also warmly encourage anyone with any suggestions on how we can improve to share them directly with us—and even better, to get involved and help—so that any suggestions can be turned into positive action. Despite the name Hollins Grundy Events Group, we are very much a parent and teacher group, and parents are always welcome to step forward, lend a hand, and be part of what we do. Any support, big or small, is genuinely appreciated and makes a real difference.
