PTA

The PTA of Hollins Grundy are an organisation which raises funds for the school in a variety of ways. There are a number of social occasions when parents, staff and children join together to make money.

This year the PTA have managed so much. We would like to celebrate their achievements on this page.  We could not manage without the great many ways in which the PTA support the school and know that many trips would not take place without their input, financial and otherwise. This year there have been many events where the PTA have organised refreshments and gifts and prizes, their dedication is amazing and has earned them the respect of the whole school community.

The PTA is made up of parents who care about the education that we deliver in our school. We would not be able to function at the level we do without their input and help. If you would like to join, please contact the current Chair, Mrs Sallyann Williams, through the school or just turn up to the next meeting!

We regularly pay for gifts of books for our Year 6 leavers to give them a good start at high school. We also subsidise the transport costs of the theatre trips for all children when they visit the Bolton Octagon or The Lowry theatre in Salford because we want all children to have  the opportunity to see inspiring live theatre shows.

We have also paid for outdoor adventurous play equipment in the playgrounds so that playtime and lunchtime are as fun as possible.

In the past we have raised about £4500 each year through our events but this year we are aiming high and trying to reach the £6000 mark. If we all pull together there should be no stopping us.
