Our arrangements for September are set out below. They are based on the latest DfE guidelines for schools but please bear in mind that experience over the last two years is that circumstances and guidance can change very quickly. We will let you know as soon as possible if anything changes.

The times set out below apply to the whole school and I hope that they will remain in place for the whole school year. Our new reception children have been given slightly different times during the first couple of weeks to help with their induction. The times given by Mrs Ellison and Mrs Abbotts for new reception children are the ones to go with.

We are no longer required to operate class bubbles so …

The first day of school will be Monday 6th September 2021. Again, some new reception children have other start dates which you have been informed of.

Gates for all classes will open at 8.45 and remain open until 9.00. Registers will be taken at 9.00.

All classes will finish at 3.30 and children will use the gates detailed above.

On PE days children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 should bring their PE kit to school and they will get changed in the classroom. This is because practising getting changed is an important life skill. Kit should go home at the end of the day.

Children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 should come to school in their PE kit on PE days. This will mean less clutter in the building and more time spent learning PE.

Not bubbling also means that we can have shared playtimes and dinner times and that serving lunch in the hall can go back to a similar pattern to the one we had previously.

Lunchtime for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 will be 12.00 till 1.15 and for Years 3 to 6 it will be 12.30 till 1.30.

Further into the future, but something definitely to look forward to, we have made a provisional booking for all children to go to the newly refurbished Bolton Octagon on Wednesday 15th December – more details to follow.
